The story behind Marsh Mellow Farms
We're a small family farm in Charlevoix, Michigan with the vision of becoming sustainable, natural, and community driven.
Activity on the farm: Planting and prepping beds.
COMING SOON: Roadside stand, farm fresh eggs, garden veggies, and microgreens.
"Mellow" is our goal, as are happy hens, chemical-free beds, and food you can trust. Come say hi at the stand this summer!
We're dedicated growing our food as cleanly as possible. Every step is intentional, from soil testing to seed selection, Fertilizer to pest control. We want to grow clean, whole food to nourish our family and community.
Our hens live on pasture with plenty of room to roam, scratch, and be chickens. We believe happy animals make better food.
Feeding our neighbors honest, local food is what drives us. Not only do we want to provide food, but we want to give others the ability to grow their own.
We began our garden in 2020 and have built upon that foundation to build towards our dream of a sustainable, community-driven farm.
This year is our infrastructure year, there will be much more to offer next year.
Later this spring we will be opening this website for orders and listing what we have available.
Our roadside stand opens this summer with eggs, produce, seedlings, baked goods, and more. This is just the beginning!
Know your farmer, know your food. We want you to see exactly where your food comes from, that's why we have a live chicken cam!
Start small, grow right. We'd rather do things the right way than the fast way. Quality over quantity, always.
Transparency matters. From our seeds to our soil to our chickens' feed, we share everything openly.
Food is community. This is more than about food, it is about building community.
